A scan that changes nothing measures every category and presents it in a dashboard with charts: recoverable space, disk usage by folder, biggest tables and space recovered month by month.
Maintenance · Space recovered
Over the years a shop piles up caches, images of products that no longer exist, forgotten backups and millions of statistics rows. Shop Cleaner measures it all, shows you where the space goes and cleans it when you decide, without losing anything you cannot get back.
The store is reset periodically and the admin profile is limited to the module configuration.
PrestaShop never deletes what it stops using: compiled caches from other environments, thumbnails of image types you removed, images of deleted products, upgrade backups, abandoned carts and years of visits in the statistics tables.
All of it makes backups slower, hosting more expensive and upgrades harder. And cleaning it by hand, over FTP or with SQL queries, is slow and risky: one wrong file and the shop breaks.
A scan that changes nothing measures every category and presents it in a dashboard with charts: recoverable space, disk usage by folder, biggest tables and space recovered month by month.
Caches and temporary files are deleted because PrestaShop rebuilds them. What cannot be rebuilt —images, backups, modules, customers, products— goes to a quarantine first, which puts every file and every row back where it was.
Each category shows what it cleans, its risk, how much it frees and a sample of what it found. Nothing is cleaned without confirmation, not even from the cron.
Recover gigabytes of disk and database you were paying for without using.
A lighter shop is backed up, migrated and upgraded sooner and with fewer surprises.
Whatever PrestaShop cannot rebuild can be restored with one click during the quarantine period.
Clear charts of where the space goes and a history of everything that was cleaned and by whom.
Cautious defaults: install, scan and decide.
Guest accounts and customers without orders are removed after the period you choose, in line with GDPR data minimisation.
Disabled products, expired discounts and orphan images stop piling up in the shop.
Less time spent on backups and upgrades means fewer maintenance stops.
No. The scan only reads: it measures files and tables and saves the result for the dashboard. Cleaning only happens when you click a category's button and confirm.
Images, backups, modules, customers, products, cart rules and specific prices go to the quarantine. From the Quarantine tab you can restore the whole batch, every file and every row back in place, until it is purged (30 days by default).
What PrestaShop rebuilds or does not need: caches, temporary files, old logs, statistics rows, abandoned carts and cache tables. That is why we recommend a full backup of the shop before the first cleanup.
Yes. Each cleanup works in steps of about 20 seconds (and a number of records per click you can adjust); if there is work left, the module says so and you just click again. With hundreds of thousands of images, scan tab by tab or through the cron.
You can schedule the cron URL once a week: it scans, purges the expired quarantine and updates the back office notice. It never cleans by itself.
Yes. Files, images and most tables are shared by every shop, so the settings are shared by the whole installation too.
Install it, click Scan my shop and in a minute you will know how much you can recover. What to clean, and when, is up to you.
